I created a subdomain and pointed it to a subdirectory where I created a MySQL 5.0 database.
It took 1/2 hour for the server to recognize the WordPress PHP, but it worked out.
No problem… how did you get it to work?
I got it working. Thanks!
Thanks, a sub domain should work.
you can use wordpress, you just have to install it in a sub-directory
I designed a website for a client of mine and now he wants to set up a blog on the site. One that he’d be able to understand and post himself.
I thought of going with Word Press, but it appears that I have to download their CMS to make it work. Is there another way to do this without getting rid of the pre-existing CMS?
A quick work around would be using javascript to embed the page as is…but then you’ll have to deal with configuring the appears to match that of the existing site.
Most domain names cost little money, in most cases less than $15 a year.
You’ll have to purchase a domain hosting server, unless you want to run the website off your own. Monthly fees for a standard website range from $5-$25.
That sucks guess ill be sticking with blogspot until I get enough money to buy a domain
No, you need to have a domain name and hosting connected to that domain name in order to install the WordPress CMS
SO u can’t really install wordpress if you don’t have a domain?
